Pharmacy Services

Inpatient Services

The Inpatient Department of Pharmacy utilizes a hybrid model, combining clinical and distributive skills. This model allows for majority of our pharmacy staff to be decentralized, actively participating in patient care on the nursing units. Each pharmacist has the ability to proactively enhance patient care and quality of life by helping to solve health-related problems as they relate to the selection, use, delivery and distribution of pharmaceuticals.

Through our unique knowledge of disease states, therapeutics and pharmaceutical science, as well as our ability to communicate effectively and sensitively, we assist in the management of all aspects of patient care. The Inpatient Pharmacy provides outstanding clinical programs including:

  • Antimicrobial Stewardship

  • Neonatal ICU Rounds

  • Critical Care Mobility Rounds

  • Hospitalist Rounding

  • Emergency Department Service

  • Inpatient Congestive Heart Failure Multidisciplinary Rounds
  • Investigational Drug Service

  • Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) Rounding – Medication Reconciliation and Patient Education
