St. Elizabeth Foundation Cancer Center Campaign Report

9 CANCER CENTER CAMPAIGN REPORT ER CE TER C P IG REP RT Generously Supported by The Kohlhepp Family After hearing Dr. Doug Flora speak at a Horizon Community Funds event, Bob Kohlhepp was impressed. A visit with Dr. Flora at the St. Elizabeth Cancer Center solidified — and perhaps even amplified — that opinion. Bob was inspired by Dr. Flora’s vision for what the Center could become, and he also appreciated the peripheral elements and amenities the Cancer Center aimed to provide for cancer patients and their families. Bob and his wife, Linda, settled on naming the Mind-Body Studio in support of that vision. What Dr. Flora is trying to do leapfrogs everyone else in Cincinnati relative to cancer care. Years ago, there was a saying that if you were diagnosed with cancer, the first place to go was the airport because there was not top-notch care here. That’s changed. A number of hospitals in our area have improved dramatically. Dr. Flora is creating a hospital that will become a sought-after destination for cancer care — not just for Greater Cincinnati, but the surrounding area and beyond. We hope in a small way to help him achieve that goal. I think Dr. Flora is an exceptional human being, and I’m so impressed with the passion and commitment he has made to create a world-class cancer center. And I think he’ll get it done." — Bob Kohlhepp mind-body studio
