Beechwood Independent Schools Joins St. Elizabeth Athletic Partnership Family

Edgewood, KY— St. Elizabeth Healthcare is proud to add Beechwood Independent Schools to the St. Elizabeth Athletic Partnership roster. The five-year agreement supports Beechwood High School and Beechwood Middle School, making the Beechwood Tigers the 36th partner in Northern Kentucky.

“Beechwood schools are an integral part of the Northern Kentucky community and St. Elizabeth is proud to welcome them as our newest community partner for sports medicine services.” says Scott Helton, Director of Sports Medicine and Athletic Training Services at St. Elizabeth.

St. Elizabeth’s athletic partnerships help protect the health and safety of the region’s student-athletes by providing streamlined sports medicine and orthopaedic care to our community’s high schools, middle schools, universities, and athletic organizations. Services are provided through the Orthopaedic Institute and combine the talents of a team of surgeons, primary care doctors, rehabilitation and orthopaedic specialists from St. Elizabeth Healthcare, St. Elizabeth Physicians and OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.

As part of the St. Elizabeth Athletic Partnership, Beechwood gains a team of specialists focused on providing personalized care to help every athlete achieve their full potential. Dr. Troy Schumann and Dr. Bruce Holladay will serve as team physicians. Brandon Slusher, a certified athletic trainer with 10 years of experience, will be the athletic trainer on-site.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Beechwood Tigers to our Athletic Partnership family,” says Dr. Schumann. “Our goal is to keep every athlete healthy and in the game. If they’re injured, we want to get them back to play as safely and quickly as possible. Programs like this help us make that a reality.”

“Improving the health and safety of our community’s student-athletes is our top priority,” said Dr. Holladay. “We focus on injury prevention, education, and rehabilitation to keep our young athletes performing at their highest level. We’re excited to bring these services to Beechwood.”
