What is a screening mammogram?
Screening mammograms are a routine exam that use digital X-rays to track changes in your breast from previous years and find any signs of cancer in the earliest, most treatable stages. You don’t need a doctor’s referral, and you usually get your results in a few days.
You can schedule your annual screening mammogram at any of the following locations:
If your screening mammogram shows abnormal breast tissue or if you report other symptoms, your physician may want to use a diagnostic mammogram to take a closer look.
