Breast Reconstruction

At the St. Elizabeth Breast Center, we offer a complete spectrum of breast reconstruction services. Our commitment extends to women with breast cancer and those with genetic conditions at an elevated risk for breast cancer.

Our Breast Center team understands how difficult the loss of a breast related to breast cancer can be for our patients. We are committed to helping our patients regain their self-image and confidence through breast reconstruction.

The St. Elizabeth Breast Reconstruction Clinic

The St. Elizabeth Breast Center provides our patients with an innovative new approach to learning more about the breast reconstruction process. Our Breast Reconstruction Clinic is a unique setting for our plastic surgeons, physicians, nurses, therapists, care coordinators and additional members of the Breast Care team to work together to coordinate breast reconstruction within a patient’s overall treatment plan. The clinics provide the opportunity to see all your care providers in our Breast Center. This collaborative approach to care aligns with the full spectrum of breast reconstruction services provided at St. Elizabeth.

When does breast reconstruction occur?

At the St. Elizabeth Breast Center, your cancer treatment plan is tailored specifically for your needs. Breast reconstruction can occur at different times throughout the course of treatment. Our team of Breast Care specialists consider a number of factors when evaluating the timing for breast reconstruction, including the type of cancer treatment recommended, medication regimens and the patient’s preference. Sometimes breast reconstruction starts immediately after breast cancer surgery; other times, it might be delayed until after the cancer treatment is completed.
