According to WCPO.com, students starting seventh or 12th grade this school year are required to have a meningitis vaccine.
Physicians have been recommending the vaccine for years, but it is now required for the 2016-17 school year.
In Indiana, the Meningococcal Vaccine is required for grades 6-12, and in Kentucky it is required starting in grade six, as well.
