Spring is here! If you’re looking for a good way to get motivated for summer, consider registering for a race in June.
Even if you spent all winter hibernating, you still have time to train for a race this summer. Here are a few plans to help jumpstart your training:

Kentucky
NKY Hates Heroin
- Distance: 5K run and walk
- Where: Independence, Kentucky at Simon Kenton High School
- When: Saturday, June 6 at 8:30 a.m.
- Cost: $25 pre-registration
CASA for Kids 5K Superhero Run/Walk
- Distance: 5K run and walk
- Where: Devou Park, Covington, Kentucky
- When: Saturday, June 13 at 8:30 a.m.
- Cost: $30 for adults, kids 12 and under are free.
- Costumes encouraged!
- Distance: 5K run and walk
- Where: Erlanger Baptist Church, Erlanger, Kentucky
- When: Saturday, June 20 at 9:00 a.m.
- Cost: $15 and 1 can of food pre-registration, $20 after June 15 (including race day)
Ohio
The Great Human Race 2015
- Distance: 5K run and walk
- Where: Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education, Cincinnati, Ohio
- When: Sunday, June 7 at 9 a.m.
- Cost: $30 until May 22nd, then $35 through June 7; $15 for students.
- Distance: 5K run
- Where: Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum, Cincinnati, Ohio
- When: Sunday, June 7 at 8:00 a.m.
- Cost: $20 pre-registration, $25 on race day (shirts are $10)
- Distance: 3.4 mile trail run
- Where: French Park Creek Crossings, Cincinnati, Ohio
- When: Sunday, June 14 at 9:00 a.m.
- Cost: $12.50 pre-registration, $20 on race day
- Distance: 4 mile run/walk, Kids Fun Run and cycling
- Where: Hyde Park Square, Cincinnati, Ohio
- When: Saturday, June 27 at 7:30 a.m.
- Cost: $45 for adults for the 4-mile run/walk, $20 for kids’ fun runs
