If your family has been looking for a reason to get active this summer, the 2015 Step It Up! Trail Challenge may be right for you.
Great Parks of Hamilton County kicked off the challenge on April 20, but you still have plenty of time to explore these great parks. Seven trails are designated for the challenge – Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve, Miami Whitewater Forest, Otto Armleder Memorial Park & Recreation Complex, Sharon Woods, Shawnee Lookout, Winton Woods and Woodland Mound.
Track your steps while you hike and log them in your account on the Step It Up challenge website. You have until September 7 to complete five of these trails.
The challenge is free to join, but cars do need a pass (either $10 annually or $3 daily) to enter parks. Anyone who completes all seven trails in the designated time will get a free t-shirt.
