All-Star Week has – unfortunately – come and gone. If you didn’t get quite enough baseball yet, we found a few more places to continue the celebration.
Museum Center at bat
The Cincinnati Museum Center’s Science of Sports exhibit is still open. You and your family can learn about the muscles, joints and neurons that help humans perform sports’ greatest feats. The kids will even get a chance to test their speed, upper and lower body strength, endurance, and balance. While at the Cincinnati Museum Center, stop by the exhibit detailing some of the Queen City’s greatest moments in baseball perfect for any super fan.
Art Museum on deck
Andy Warhol’s painting of Pete Rose remains on display at the Cincinnati Art Museum. The exhibit is called Up at Bat: Warhol and Baseball. In addition to his three known paintings, you’ll see proofs for the limited-edition screen print of Pete Rose and “a historic selection of commercial graphics and baseball cards which inspired the composition.”
Near the ballpark
At the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, the Legends Art Exhibit will be on display until July 22. The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum website has hours and pricing information.
While you’re at the Banks, The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is featuring the Diversity in Baseball exhibit which highlights a few of baseball’s greatest barrier-breakers who changed the game.
Bringing the fun home
If you’re looking to add baseball art to your personal collection, check out world-renowned Charles Fazzino’s poster of the 2015 All-Star Game in Cincinnati. Ten percent of all proceeds will benefit Cincinnati’s United Way chapter.
See the players back in action
Your Reds are back home taking on the Cleveland Indians for a Fireworks Friday show on Friday, July 17.
Don’t miss your chance to represent Kentucky pride at Great American on August 1. NKY Night will have special discounts for Kentucky residents and feature a few well-known locals before and during the game. Hope to see you there!
