Not ready to spend the entire weekend outside? You can still visit many local parks to enjoy the warmer weather:
- Boone County: You can visit 20 different parks in Boone County alone. Most parks have basketball and volleyball courts, and some even have baseball fields. You can likely locate a shelter and picnic table when everyone is ready for a break.
- Kenton County: Even though it has fewer parks than Boone County, you can keep the family busy at two larger parks in Kenton County.
- Lincoln Ridge Park has shelter houses, picnic areas and playgrounds, as well as unpaved hiking trails, ponds and fishing for your outdoor adventure. Your family can even try their luck at a 24-hole disc golf game.
- Pioneer Park has playgrounds, baseball fields, biking trails and paved walking trails, tennis and basketball courts and soccer fields
- Campbell County: Parks here are filled with equestrian barns, campgrounds, sports parks and playgrounds. They are also home to some of the most challenging golf courses in the region.
