Whether you’re riding solo or cycling with kids, you’ll find a trail that’s perfect for you – right here in Greater Cincinnati. Check out some of our favorites below:
Ohio River Trail““ If your kids are begging to bike with you ““ or you’re dragging them ““ this is the perfect trail. The four-mile paved path sits right along the Ohio River and passes through several parks, by the Reds and Bengals stadiums and near many restaurants. The best part – the Ohio River Trail is pretty flat, making it a great fit for any ability level.
While cruising along the path, you’ll notice it’s under construction. When complete, you will be able to ride 23 miles from Coney Island through Downtown Cincinnati to Sayler Park.
Tower Park““ Take a ride through Kentucky, starting at Tower Park off of South Ft. Thomas Avenue. The almost eight-mile trail weaves around the Ohio River and includes several big hills. Consider leaving the little ones at home, this trail is a better fit for intermediate-level cyclists.
Loveland/Little Miami Bike Trail ““ Whether you want to ride for an hour or the entire day, give the Little Miami Bike Trail a try. The 70-mile trail parallels the original railroad tracks the Little Miami Railroad ran in 1937. Be on the lookout for historic buildings along the way as well.
Need a break from riding? Not to worry ““ you’ll find a variety of restaurants and shops located right off the trail.
Bike the Bridges ““ Bring the family Downtown and go for an urban bike ride across our city’s biggest bridges. Start on the Cincinnati side at the Purple People Bridge (don’t worry, you’ll find plenty of parking by the bridge) and cross into Downtown Newport. Make a right on Fourth Street and ride into Covington. Cross the Licking River Bridge, then make a right on Greenup Street to head back into Cincinnati on the Roebling Suspension Bridge or keep riding on Fourth until you get to the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge. Make a right off of either bridge and you can go straight back to your car from Second Street.
