Overview

Corneal abrasion is a condition in which there's a scratch or cut on the protective covering at the front of the eye (cornea).

Symptoms

A corneal abrasion may feel like sand in the eye. Other symptoms include pain, redness, tearing, and blurred vision.

Treatments

Treatment involves rinsing the eye to wash away particles.
