Adenoma

Updated: 2020-01-04

Overview

An adenoma is a noncancerous tumor occurring in a gland or developing from glandular tissue that lines certain organs in the body. Adenomas can occur in the breasts, colon and lungs, and in the pancreas, prostate and other glands.

Treatments

Since they're noncancerous, adenomas generally cause little harm. They may be left alone or can be surgically removed.
