An Opportunity to Learn and Share
Studying the effectiveness of immediate and accessible treatment (Bridge Services) for opioid use disorder in the emergency department is one way Kentucky is responding to the opioid epidemic. At this symposium, you will hear early results from three hospitals implementing Bridge Services: St. Elizabeth Healthcare, the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville as they discuss their bridge clinic services.
Experts will be sharing information on:
- opioid-use disorder
- medication-assisted treatment
- emergency department treatment
- finding solutions for challenges
- peer support services in the emergency department
The symposium is open to bridge clinic staff, including physicians, nurses, care coordinators, peer support specialists and hospital administration.
