The CardioVascular Mobile Health Unit is equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment to perform an array of on-site tests aimed at detecting all manner of risky health conditions including: carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm and high blood pressure.
Our mobile unit also offers a cardiac age health risk assessment. The screening is based on the Framingham Heart Study and will calculate a 10-year heart risk percentage based on biological age, body mass index, blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and smoking history. The assessment requires a four-hour fast and involves a finger stick glucose and lipid panel.
By deploying the mobile health van to locations where you live, work and play, St. Elizabeth strives to deliver topnotch care and technology directly to those who need it, where it is most accessible. In this way, the organization hopes to better prevent and reduce cardiovascular disease, stroke and diabetes through screenings, risk appraisals and education.
