FULL CALENDAR OF HEART & VASCULAR EVENTS Quick, Convenient Health Screenings We offer the following cardiovascular and heart health screenings — $100 for all five, or choose one or more individual tests for $25 each. Our mobile heart testing unit is available at various locations throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Cardiac Age Health Risk Assessment This screening is based on the Framingham Heart Study, a long-term study of cardiovascular disease risk factors, directed by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. We’ll calculate your 10-year heart risk percentage based on your: Age Body mass index Blood pressure Cholesterol and blood sugar levels Smoking history A member of our heart care team will examine a drop of your blood (requires a tiny prick of your finger) to measure blood sugar and lipids. Please don’t eat or drink anything four hours before your screening. Follow a Patient on Their Journey Through the CardioVascular Van Stroke/Carotid Artery Screening This 10-minute ultrasound scan of your carotid arteries (in your neck) looks for plaque buildup, the leading cause of stroke. Please don’t wear a high-collared shirt or turtleneck for this screening. Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening This 10-minute ultrasound test examines the main artery in your abdomen, the aorta, for enlargement or an aneurysm that could lead to a ruptured aortic artery. Please don’t drink or eat anything two hours before your screening. Peripheral Artery Disease Screening This 10-minute Doppler ultrasound test examines blood flow in your legs to determine your risk of peripheral artery disease (PAD), a narrowing and hardening of arteries that supply blood to your legs and feet. The exam uses blood pressure cuffs, so please don’t wear pantyhose. Atrial Fibrillation Screening This simple, painless screening is offered at no charge with at least one other paid screening. A fingertip scan of your heartbeat creates a snapshot that can detect a potential irregular heart rhythm.
