Community Involvement
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is dedicated to serving the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati area. We believe that our mission, to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to our community, begins with reaching out to improve the overall health of our community.
The Northern Kentucky Nursing and Interprofessional Research Collaborative (NIRC) positively impacts the health of Northern Kentucky through the implementation of community-driven interventions, based on interdisciplinary research methods, quality improvement initiatives and the application of best practices. The NIRC is a result of a University Community Partnership Grant from Northern Kentucky University (NKU) and NKU’s and St. Elizabeth Healthcare’s collaborative efforts.
The St. Elizabeth Healthcare Baby Steps program specializes in working with pregnant women and new mothers that used substances during their pregnancy. Our nurses work closely with the new or expectant mothers to develop a trusting relationship and help with finding treatment, resources and support groups, establishing and continuing OB care, education, support and more.
The Health Ministries and Faith Community Nursing program provides assistance to congregations so that they can nurture not only spiritual health, but also physical and emotional health. Through this program’s free services, we can create and establish a program that is custom-made for your congregation.
