St. Elizabeth Healthcare has initiated a Lung Cancer Screening Program in an effort to catch early, non-symptomatic diseases in patients who are considered high risk. The benefit of low-dose lung cancer CT screening is a reduction in lung cancer death for those who meet specific criteria.

St. Elizabeth Named Care Continuum Center of Excellence for Lung Cancer
St. Elizabeth Healthcare was recently named a Care Continuum Center of Excellence (CCCOE) by the GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer. With this designation, St. Elizabeth becomes one of more than 30 community hospitals recognized by the GO2 Foundation for providing patient-focused, comprehensive multidisciplinary lung cancer care.

The Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) announced that St. Elizabeth Cancer Center in Edgewood, Kentucky, is a recipient of a 2023 ACCC Innovator Award. St. Elizabeth Cancer Center won the award for the development of a care delivery model that demonstrates sustainable outreach for cancer screening, with a specific focus on at-risk and underserved patient populations.
