Nancy Harkness had been living with knee pain too long. She finally decided it was time to consider a total knee replacement at the St. Elizabeth Total Joint Center.

Once Nancy knew she was going to have knee replacement surgery she started asking anyone she knew about their doctor, “Dr. Hummel’s name kept floating to the top.”

Dr. Matthew T. Hummel, an affiliated orthopaedic surgeon with OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, performed Nancy’s surgery at St. Elizabeth Healthcare.

She describes her decision, “I would see Dr. Hummel and he would say—I am ready when you are, let me know.”

Nancy’s goal was to dance again. She can’t wait to tell him at her annual follow-up appointment, that she has already begun dancing with her husband.
