2024 M.O.O.N. Program
St. Elizabeth hosted 20 students from 17 regional high schools for the seventh edition of the M.O.O.N. Program. Here is what some of our participants wrote about this five-day learning experience:
“The simulation lab was very informative and gave us practice for situations that may be experienced in the hospital setting. The staff was super helpful and definitely looked like they wanted to be there.”
“Seeing robots operate in the OR was incredible. Dr. Satterwhite was one of the most caring and passionate doctors I had the privilege of shadowing.”
“The panel discussion was possibly my favorite part of the week! It was incredible to hear advice from those who have succeeded in the field we all desire to contribute to!”
“I absolutely loved shadowing Dr. Vormbrock, and she is the one who sparked my interest as an OB and in family medicine.”
“I felt like the doctors I shadowed did a great job answering any questions I had. They wanted to make me excited about their specialty. These doctors chosen for shadowing were a great fit for the M.O.O.N. Program.”
“I am beyond grateful for this amazing opportunity. I will never forget this program and the insight it has given me to shape my future. Thank you to everyone who put this magnificent program together to give us a way into medicine as high school students.”
