Crestview Hills, KY - St. Elizabeth Holistic Health Center invites the community to attend a special Oncology Holistic Sampler on Tuesday, October 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The free event will be held at the St. Elizabeth Holistic Health Center at 210 Thomas More Parkway in Crestview Hills. The holistic sampler will feature demonstrations of acupuncture, massage, yoga, reflexology, cancer fitness techniques, stress management, meditation, smoking cessation, and craniosacral therapy. These integrative therapies for oncology patients are based on the model of care developed by the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. The Center offers a continuum of physician-directed services that can help people achieve lifestyle changes for health and wellness, symptom support, and relief during illness. Led by a medical director, a team of licensed and certified health professionals collaborate with healthcare providers to support traditional medical interventions. “The goal of our oncology holistic program is to assist patients in selecting integrative therapies that are most appropriate for their needs, “ says Toni Schklar, Manager Holistic Health Center. “We want to be the trusted resource for physicians and patients to access evidence-based integrative therapies provided by professionals appropriately trained to safely deliver the services. During the holistic sampler, we intend to demonstrate many of these therapies.” For more information or to register for the sampler, contact the St. Elizabeth Holistic Health Center at (859) 301-5959.
