As a new patient, you will be interviewed privately by the nurse and asked to provide information about yourself. Your physician will perform a thorough medical examination and if you require cancer treatment, it will be explained to you in detail. You will be given printed educational materials to review at home and you will be asked to sign a consent form authorizing our specialists to provide the treatment your circumstances require. Occasionally, additional testing is necessary before the physician can make decisions about your treatment. All tests and procedures will be explained to you by our staff and you will receive an appointment card listing the dates and times for each scheduled test and visit. Your first visit will likely be longer than subsequent visits. We will try to make your first visit as easy as possible, and as informative as your needs require.
