Initial evaluations are performed by a licensed Physical Therapist. A plan of care is established with the primary goal of reducing or eliminating symptoms to allow for a full return to work. Follow up visits are scheduled 2 to 3 times per week with an average total of 6 to 7 visits. Treatment programs consist of exercises to regain functional range of motion (ROM), strength, endurance and ability to perform activities of daily living. Modalities are incorporated to help reduce pain, inflammation and muscle spasms to assist in regaining functional abilities. Individuals are taught self -management techniques for pain control and appropriate exercise. Our team consists of Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistants, treating Physician, Nurse Case Manager as well as employer representatives for our client companies. This team meets on a regular basis to discuss specific cases as well as local specialists to coordinate care plans for each injured worker. Our Therapy Services can be an integral part of your work site occupational health program. The Therapist can assist you with the evaluation and treatment of work-related injuries along with job analysis, restricted duty, return to work, and re-injury prevention education.
