CranioSacral Therapy: Innovative Treatment for Babies & Children
CranioSacral therapy, CST, is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the craniosacral system, which includes the protective membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

In this form of therapy, practitioners use a skilled, light touch to release restrictions, so the body can naturally release the effects of stress and heal itself. CST is especially useful for newborns and children with particular health problems.

CST and Newborns
Even the most natural of births is stressful to your baby’s skull and spine. In fact, research suggests that the birth process is responsible for many brain dysfunctions caused by central nervous system imbalances. When CST is performed within the first few days after birth, it can effectively treat:

  • Irregular head shape
  • Colic
  • Vomiting
  • Chronic earaches
  • Seizures
  • An eye disorder called Strabismus
  • Hearing problems
  • Motor skill problems
  • Failure-to-thrive Syndrome

CST has also been shown to be effective in treating older youngsters. In infants and school-aged children, this therapy is used to treat symptoms associated with:

  • Down’s Syndrome
  • Autism
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Scoliosis, a curvature of the spine
  • Dyslexia
  • Hyperkinetic behavior
  • ADHD and learning difficulties
  • Headaches and migraines

  • Anxiety/Panic attacks
  • Arthritis
