St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Citi and the American Heart Association have partnered with the Girl Scouts to educate young girls about their hearts and the importance of keeping them healthy. The goal of the Greater Cincinnati Go Red Girl Scout Patch Program is to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke and the risks that they pose for women. By emphasizing good heart healthy habits early in life, the program hopes to help girls begin a lifetime of healthy living and helping to “spread the red.”
Girl scouts can earn their patch at this event hosted by St. Elizabeth Healthcare. Participants will participate in healthy education and activities including hands-only CPR and a tour of a heart procedure room.
The event is free and open to Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts, but advance registration is required.
